MAJALENGKA, RADARCIREBON.COM - Referring to the route arrangements by the Government of Indonesia between Kertajati Airport and Husein Sastranegara Airport, Kuala Lumpur to Bandung flights diverted to MAJALENGKA.

Airlines such as AirAsia Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines are scheduled to serve the flight route.

PT BIJB or West Java International Airport has prepared 10 shuttle transportation rom Kertajati Airport and Bandung to surrounding cities.

At least 15 routes will be served by this road trip, covering the cities of Bandung, Cimahi, Purwakarta, Subang, Sumedang, Jatinangor, Cirebon, Kuningan, Majalengka, Indramayu, Tasikmalaya, Ciamis, Pangandaran, Banjar.

Damri will also serve trips from Kertajati Airport to Bandung every day, with a schedule adjusted to the departure and arrival of the aircraft.

Access to travel between Kertajati Airport and Bandung City also supported by the Cisumdawu Toll Road. 

Trip using this toll road is faster with an estimated travel time of 60 minutes at a distance of 61 kilometers.

BIJB Executive General Manager Nuril Huda said Malaysia Airlines is scheduled to open a flight route from Kertajati to Kuala Lumpur on October 2 2023 with flight schedules every Monday and Friday.

"This is a new route from Malaysia Airlines flying the Kertajati-Kuala Lumpur route," he added.

For AirAsia, Nuril confirmed that the airline would open a domestic flight route between Kertajati-Denpasar on October 29 2023 which serves return trips (PP).

"Now it is still normal as usual, AirAsia Kertajati - Kuala Lumpur route twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday," said Nuril.

Nuril also stated that Kertajati Airport, the largest international aviation facility in West Java, continues to improve to begin full commercial operations in October 2023.
